Celebrate 200 years of memories, sporting excellence, and community spirit at the 2018 running of the Royal St. John’s Regatta. This milestone event will honour rowers past and present, pay homage to the Regatta’s proud history, and feature special public events that include celebrity race starters, special performances, and much more. It’s a full day of races, revelry, and a chance to reflect on achievements of the past.

200th Anniversary Paint and Sip Night

Celebrate the 200th Anniversary of the Royal St. John’s Regatta by creating your own Regatta-related masterpiece!

Please join us as a local artist leads an interactive painting session!This will be held at the Boathouse Museum at 7:00 p,m.

Rower’s Reunion

Share memories with former and current Rowers, Coxswains and Coaches.There is no RSVP required however, the maximum number of attendees is 350 so, please come early to avoid the disappointment of being turned away.

This will be held at the CLB, starting at 7:00 p.m.

Fun Regatta!

As a part of the 200th anniversary celebrations of The Royal St. John’s Regatta, a fun regatta will be held on Saturday, July 28 at Quidi Vidi Lake with the first race around 12:30 p.m. as to not impede practice spins.

The fun regatta will include exhibition races, all-comers races, family races and others! 

If you’re interested in participating, please register your crew as soon as possible.

You will be contacted to choose which types of races you’re interested in.

Regatta Parade

Departing from the West Gate of Government House at 2:00 p.m., the parade will head west on Military Road, right on Bannerman to Circular and then onto King’s Bridge, through the intersection, down Lakeview and end at the Boathouse.

Please join us for this important event of historical significance.

Ecumenical Service and Blessing of the Lake

We’ve had 200 years of beautiful memories, please join us during this multi-denominational blessing of the Regatta for many more.

This event will start at the Boathouse, immediately following the parade (approximately 2:45)

ExxonMobil Canada Presents: Regatta Eve!

The Royal St. John’s Regatta Committee, in partnership with ExxonMobil Canada is pleased to bring you REGATTA EVE!Come feel the electricity that is Regatta during this exciting pre-Regatta celebration which is sure to be fun for the whole family. 

There will be food, entertainment and a pyrotechnics show!

We are pleased to offer a park and ride shuttle service, leaving Confederation Building Parking lot, starting at 5:45 with the last bus leaving King’s Bridge Road at 10:00.

Wednesday, August 1

The extremely dedicated rowers have been training all year for this — come cheer on your favorite crew as they participate in this highly anticipated competition.

Check out the lunchtime concert, presented by Crosbie Group. We will have entertainment from The Swinging Belles and Calvert Street.

There will be games of chance/skill, face-painting and kids activities, large variety of food vendors and so much more — definitely something for everyone!

There will be dancers in period clothing, reenacting Regatta dances.

We will have celebrity starters, starting each race.

Make sure you stick around for the Championship races to see who gets to take home the beautiful 200th Anniversary gold rings, made by The Golden Tulip with gold donated by Anaconda Mining!

Saturday, August 4
Go Store! Presents: Movie Under the Stars

Grab your family, friends a picnic blanket and head lakeside as we show “Back to the Future”Starting at dusk (approximately 9:00), this will be held in Quidi Vidi Lake’s natural amphitheater, next to the Bandstand.
